STATE OF COLORADO

ORDINANCE NO. 2013-12

TITLE: AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET SUMMARIZING REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE TOWN OF MOUNTAIN VIEW FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2014, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2014, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

WHEREAS, a proposed budget summarizing revenues and expenditures has been submitted to the Town Council, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A; and

WHEREAS, the Town Council has reviewed the proposed revenues and expenditures.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF MOUNTAIN VIEW, COLORADO, ORDAINS THAT:

Section 1. The Town Council, in accordance with Section 9.5 of the Town's Charter, hereby adopts the budget attached hereto as Exhibit A for the calendar year commencing January l, 2014, and ending December 31, 2014.

Section 2. The funds described in the budget attached hereto as Exhibit A, are hereby appropriated for calendar year 2014 for the various funds and the specific purposes set forth in the budget.

Section 3. Safety Clause. The Town Council hereby finds, determines and declares that this Ordinance is promulgated under the general police power of the Town of Mountain View, that it is promulgated for the health, safety, and welfare of the public and that this Ordinance is necessary for the preservation of health and safety and for the protection of public convenience and welfare. The Town Council further determines that this Ordinance bears a rational relation to the proper legislative object sought to be attained.

Section 4. Severability. If any clause, sentence, paragraph, or part of this Ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstances shall for any reason be adjudged by a court of competent jurisdiction invalid, such judgment shall not affect application to other persons or circumstances.

Section 5. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days after passage.
