Personal or cashier checks and money orders are accepted by mail and in person. Do not send cash in the mail; cash payments must be made in person at the Town Hall.

The Court Clerk will contact any individual if a check is returned for insufficient funds or a closed account. Payment is required to be made in person plus an addition $30.00 to cover the NSF check. If the payment is not received, a warrant may be issued.
Yes. Located at the bottom of the ticket is the penalty assessment which can be paid before the written court date if the following is complete:
- both sides of the ticket have been read
- the ticket is signed on the back
- the total fine amount is included
- the summons number is written on the personal or cashier check

If eligible, the Municipal Court may send a letter offering a reduction in points, but not a reduction in the amount of the fine. By signing the ticket issued and making the necessary payment, the violator admits to being guilty to the amended charge.
If a plea of not guilty is desired, an individual must appear in Municipal Court on the summons date written on the ticket.
If a Stay of Execution has been ordered by the Judge and payment cannot be made, the individual must return to court for the Judge to re-evaluate the situation. Failure to appear on the date summons may result in a warrant.
